Students get AMPed up to donate

November 11, 2010

On Wednesday, Aspiring Medical Professionals,or AMP, hosted a blood drive in Myers Student Center from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Students could sign up for the blood drive on Nov. 8 and Nov. 9 in the campus restaraut. Andrew Servis, pictured above, is a freshman science major from Blairsville. Service was one of 60 students signed up for the blood drive. In addition, there were several walk-in appointments throughout the day. Whitney Fullerton, a freshman biology major from White County and the secretary of AMP, said, “I feel like the blood drive has been a huge success. We had to add an extra sheet to the sign in sheet because so many people signed up.” Photo by Ashton Jones
