Maxwell parking lot experiences minor car crash

November 3, 2010
The back parking lot behind Maxwell Math and Science Building experienced a minor car crash, when a truck removing toxic chemicals from one of the chemistry labs, accidentally backed into this late-model Ford Explorer. The SUV belongs to Eddie Collins, a assistant professor of theatre and theatre department chair. Collins confirmed that this was his vehicle by saying, “yep, that’s my car.” As a result, the back window of the Explorer was cracked, and later intentionally busted by Young Harris College officials as a safety precaution. YHC housekeeping staff cleaned up the remaining glass fragments. No injuries were reported, and no chemicals from the truck were spilled. Photo by Kathleen Layton
